Museums Sheffield

Museums Sheffield is the charity responsible for three of the city’s museums and galleries: Millennium GalleryWeston Park Museum and Graves Gallery.

Museums Sheffield was created in 1998 as an independent charity to take over the running of the city’s non-industrial museums and galleries from Sheffield City Council.

Their first major project was the launch of the newly-built Millennium Gallery in 2001, a cornerstone of Sheffield’s Heart of the City regeneration project.  The Millennium Gallery set the tone for work over the following decade; fundraising for and delivering major improvement projects to enhance the city’s galleries and museums.

Millennium Gallery is Sheffield’s premier destination for art, craft and design.

Weston Park – Discover the real story of Sheffield, from its geological roots to the people, politics and music that shaped the modern City.

Graves Gallery is home to Sheffield’s visual art collection, including works by Cezanne, Burne-Jones, Turner, Bridget Riley and Damien Hirst.
