The Festival of the Outdoors is set to kick off the Sheffield’s outdoor season with a bang, with a full month programme of events and activities, celebrating the strength and breadth of Sheffield’s outdoor communities.
Taking place 1 - 31 March 2019, the Festival will include a fantastic array of events with everything from City Centre dual mountain bike racing, trail runs and film screenings to urban caving.
The outdoors is for everyone and with so much on offer in our wonderful City we want to spread the word as far and wide as possible. Whether it’s watching, participating or trying something for the very first time, there’s going to be lots of opportunities to get involved.
The Festival opens on Friday 1 March with the Kendal Mountain Festival Tour at Abbeydale Picture House shortly followed by the RabClimbing Works International Festival on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 March.
Alongside a host of outdoor activities, the festival programme will also promote some of the fantastic cultural events taking place across the month, showcasing Sheffield’s unique offer as a leading destination for both outdoor adventure and cultural vibrancy.
